As a follow-up to Configuring Azure AD Domain Services for your Active Directory Tenant, it's great to see that the Azure AD Domain Services is now Generally Available.

As with many of the Microsoft Cloud services, improvements based on customer feedback have been added throughout the preview program, including:

  • Secure LDAP access over LDAPS
  • Ability to create custom Organizational Units (OUs)
  • Virtual network peering
  • and a few others...

The virtual network peering is interesting for a few of the customers that I'm working with, in that we've VMs provisioned in the Classic model which now can be domain-joined via AD Domain Services.

If you're using AD Domain Services, I'd be interested to hear what your experience has been so far.
